WHAT TO EXPECT

Sessions are not about freshly pressed clothes and neatly combed hair but more about mismatched pajamas, well loved toys, his expression, favorite shoes, her tutu, that smile...

Don't worry if it's not all tutus and smiles though.  As moms we know a few tears are often part of the day too - it's okay, we'll get around it.

We try to keep our sessions fun.  After a few 'formal' portraits (that is with kids sat together looking at the camera), we encourage play and interaction.  Silly jokes are welcome.

Outfits don't have to 'match'.  Think 'coordinated' instead.  Think of textures and contrasts, such as, tutus and Ugg boots, Converse and bow-tie, sequins and chunky hand-knits, Liberty prints and denim.

You do not have to go out and buy new clothes for a session - the clothes that are already in the wardrobe (or in a pile on the floor) are perfect!

Avoid bold logos and branded images, baseball caps, sunglasses, sportswear and sneakers (unless they are Vans or Converse).

Don't forget to bring along favorite toys, blankets and, yes, pets too!
